Revealing Hidden Folders

Widows 8 and 10

1. Find the search box in or around the start button or start screen.
2. Once you find it, search for "Hidden Files" and click on "Show hidden files and folders" in the results.
3. In the small window that appears, look for the option that mentions hidden files and folders. Ensure that "Show hidden files, folder, and drives" is checked.
4. Click "Apply" and the "OK" to exit.

Windows Vista and 7

1. Click on "My Computer" and the My Computer pane will open.
2. At the top of the pane click "Organize" a drop down menu will appear.
3. On this menu click "Folder and Search Options".
4. A dialogue box will appear with 3 Tabs across the top. The middle tab is "View". Click this tab.
5. Under this tab you will see a list of items and in this list will be a folder named "Hidden Files & Folders" double click on the folder to open it.
6. You will see 2 options to choose from. Select "Show Hidden Files, Folders & Drives"
7. Finally, click "Apply" and then "OK." to exit.
