eCarillon is a software program that depends on the PC and Windows to run. As such, if the computer is off, asleep or otherwise incapacitated, eCarillon will be unable to function. We recommend the following settings to ensure the most seamless operation for eCarillon:
- Set the computer to never sleep
- Set the computer to never hibernate
- Set the computer to automatically login
- Set the monitor and/or screensaver to come on as desired
- Use Windows settings to disable all Windows sounds and notifications
Note that even with these settings other applications can still play undesired sounds if in operation on the same PC as eCarillon. For this reason, it is always best to use eCarillon on a dedicated machine or at least limit multi-tasking on your eCarillon PC while the sound system is live (connected and on).
