Often times people try eCarillon as a demo and get everything set up just right before buying. The next question is, "how can I register now that I bought the product?" The answer is simple. You don't have to uninstall the demo or even install the new version you received when you purchased if you don't want to. You simply need to update the registration to your full key. To do so follow these simple steps:
- Open eCarillon and go to Help > About eCarillon in the top menu
- In the About eCarillon window, click the Upgrade License button. This will take you back to the registration screens where you can use your new purchased key to permanently register.
- Follow the registration screen steps to complete registration. Be sure to input the new permanent key that you received after purchasing (not the demo key) when prompted for your product key. Not sure where that new key is? Here is where to find it
- IF you received a newer version of eCarillon when you purchased, now is the time to install that version of software. There is no need to uninstall the demo software first, simply install the new version over the demo version. If the versions are the same, there is no need to do anything else as the demo software is identical and your new key has unlocked unlimited use.
