Importing a CD

Can eCarillon import an audio CD? Yes and No. Unfortunately, music CDs cannot be imported into eCarillon directly BUT it is still 100% possible to import your music and the process is relatively easy.

First, in order to import a music CD one must first extract (commonly called "rip") the music from the CD. This process extracts the music from the CD, and in turn, creates a digital file for each track on the CD. You can also choose the file format of the output files. Be sure to choose one that eCarillon will support for import (mp3, wav, or wma).

Next, once you have ripped your song(s) to the correct format, you can easily import them into eCarillon using the library's import feature.

NOTE: There are many free programs available for ripping music CDs and often your computer will already have the capability built in. For more detailed instruction on how to do this on your machine click here
